Saturday, August 2, 2008Here is a little video that we created for our customers. Its a brief over view of MiaDonna and our Simulated Diamond Hybrid™. With all the terms that are available today to describe a product it is hard to explain to people why are product is superior and how it is made. Lab created diamonds, man made diamonds and simulated diamonds are all terms used by companies on the internet today to describe CZ and cultured diamonds.
We started calling our product a Diamond Hybrid™ and found that a small percentage of consumers were confusing our product for a cultured diamond. So in order to be more specific about the product itself we now place the word “simulated” in front of Diamond Hybrid™ to specify the product as a Simulant and not a Cultured Diamond like the stones produced by Gemesis™ which MiaDonna also sells.
The MiaDonna Hybrid stone has a core crystal that is repeatedly coated with man mad diamond crystals giving the Miadonna stone a solid outer layer of lab created diamond. This makes the Hybrid nearly twice as hard as cubic zirconium and gives it a friction co efficient greater than that of Teflon to maximize its ability to repel dirt and grim. NASA used a similar diamond coating technology on the Hubble Satellite in order to reduce/minimize wear and tear on the Hubble’s moving parts and it has worked brilliantly.
